附加消息:
The University has late this afternoon received information about an alleged attack on a female student near the Bus Port on Hayman Road late yesterday evening (Tuesday 13 June).
The student was approached by a tall, caucasian male, possibly with brown hair, who asked her for the time. He spoke with an Australian accent. Before the student had time to respond she was threatened with a knife and forced into a car. She was then driven to another location and assaulted before being released.
As soon as the University was alerted it offered assistance and support to the student and accompanied her to Kensington Police Station. Anyone with any information about this attack, or any other incident, should immediately contact Kensington Police, or Crime Stoppers, as an "area alert" to police has been issued.
All members of the University community are asked to be particularly vigilant and ensure they make use of the services offered by Security such as using the courtesy bus. Anyone with security concerns is reminded to call Security on 9266 4444 or 1800 244043 (free call). Additional security patrols have been invoked.
