The ABC Regional & Local team is about Australian communities and conversations.  We make distinctive stories and events that connect communities and shape lives.  We are about real people, real places and real life.  We have eight capital city radio stations and a network of 44 regional bureaux across Australia.  Our Sport and Live Events team focuses on regional and local content for all our platforms, including TV, Radio and online.

About the Role

This is your chance, with this unique and very rare opportunity, to join the ABC Regional, Local, Sport and Events team to produce and present sports content for a range of programs and platforms.

Reporting to the Content Lead WA/SA, you will:

Produce and present content for multiple platforms to engage local and national audiences.
Produce and present local content for ABC Radio Perth and ABC Grandstand.
Provide in studio production support for local and national sports programs.
Create content that can be shared with other content teams across the ABC.
About You

You will have a real passion for sport! Naturally curious, you’re an experienced producer and presenter, with excellent live sport commentary and sports presentation skills. You will also be able to demonstrate:

The ability and experience of calling live sport to a high standard.
Strong program making skills with ability to develop and make original and engaging audio and cross-platform content.
Proficient editorial skills.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to build relationships with people from a range of diverse backgrounds.
