Finance Officer
Child Australia is a not for profit organisation working across WA and NT and is dedicated to improving outcomes for children by providing direct services and professional development and support for the early childhood education and care sector as well a operating a number of Child Care Centres in Perth, Darwin and Alice Springs. We are experiencing positive change and growth and are looking to grow our Corporate Services Team located in Belmont. This will be part time position for 50 hours per fortnight.
The Finance Officer will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all invoices received for payment and to undertake the payment of all creditors in a timely manner. Reporting to the EM, the focus of the role is to efficiently manage all activities associated with the payment cycle whilst providing a quality and efficient service. The Finance Office will also be expected to provide support/back up to the Payroll Office when required.
In this role you will undertake:
Bank Reconciliations
Creditor/debtor processing, reconciling and reporting
Trial Balance account reconciliations
Weekly banking and petty cash
Compiling statistical reports
Payroll Support
Assist with annual budgets and audits
Streamlining and improving our finance systems and procedures
General Administrative Support
What you will need:
A track record in accounts/bookkeeping preferably using Reckon (cloud-based) or similar
A mature and responsible approach that enables you to work autonomously, effectively manage your time and workload, and meet deadlines
Sound communication skills
Advanced MS excel spreadsheet skills
Accurate data entry, document processing and record keeping
previous payroll processing and general admin skills would be an advantage
