CALD Case Worker
CALD CASE WORKER
(LEGALLY ASSISTED AND CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE FAMILY DISPUTE RESOLUTION)
(2-3 days a week)
Relationships Australia WA is a leading non-government provider of professional relationship services involving counselling, group work, community education and case management services to individuals, couples and families.
We are seeking an experienced CALD Case Worker to work within a dynamic small team on an exciting service that will be providing Legally Assisted and Culturally Appropriate Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) to CALD families who are separating or have separated; where they have also experienced family or domestic violence. This position is based in the Perth Hay Street Mall, Family Relationship Centre for 2 or 3 days by negotiation..
This is a support and referral service for CALD clients accessing FDR services where the goal is to actively support families to stay engaged with the mediation process and thereby avoid the Family Court whenever possible. This includes linking families in with other relevant service providers.
Selection Criteria
The successful candidate will be reliable, proactive and experienced professional with demonstrated abilities in working with CALD families and with those affected by domestic violence. A relevant social/community service qualification, along with significant experience working with a client group experiencing crisis or distress is essential. Experience in working with domestic violence is desired..
