Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will lead the claims department in a way that balances the interests of policy holders with the need to manage the cost of claims.  You will develop strategies for the department that support the overall business plan and then see them implemented.  The role sits on the leadership forum and you will be the voice of risk operations in the business.  Beyond claims, this role also owns certain operational business components – so your management remit is broad, highly visible and valuable.
  
The role demands a highly effective leader of people, ideally with deep credentials in the management of general insurance claims.  You will be a strong manager of stakeholder relationships and an effective bridge into underwriters and assessors.   The role calls for someone of sound commercial judgement and the credibility and communication skills to effectively deliver to executive and board level.
