Aboriginal Recruitment Business Partner
The Department of Justice and Regulation, Victoria are seeking an Aboriginal Recruitment Business Partner. This vacancy is based in Melbourne city where a relocation allowance is available to the successful candidate.

The Recruitment Services branch within People and Culture provides expert advice and support to the Department of Justice and Regulation on all recruitment related matters, including attraction, selection, redeployment and other recruitment and retention practices. Working within the department's strategic objective of “building a high performing justice system”, Recruitment Services delivers consultative, progressive, innovative, fair and ethical recruitment solutions.
About the Role
As the Aboriginal Recruitment Business Partner, you will ensure that target hires for identified, designated and mainstream roles are achieved across Corrections Victoria. You will be accountable for effectively partnering with their regional stakeholders to deliver end-to-end or part services recruitment support.
You will contribute specialist advice to regional stakeholders at all levels on Koori cultural issues, employment related policies and legislation that impact on the Victorian Koori community and be a strong advocate for the department as an employer of choice. You will also be responsible for promoting Corrections Victoria roles to the Koori community across Victoria.
About You
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Koori community, both society and culture and the issues impacting on it
a demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with members of the Victorian Koori community
subject matter expertise in recruitment with demonstrated recruitment business partnering experience with a diverse stakeholder group to meet operational demand and deliver consistent and quality recruitment service in Koori employment context
excellent presentation, influencing and negotiation skills in order to achieve organisational objectives.
