If you are buying a vehicle privately, the price will be cheaper,  you can deal with owner directly and ask a better deal. But no warrenty what so ever.

If you are buying a car from a dealer, you will pay more. But depending on the year and KMs, you can have between 3 month to 5years warrenty. but more of them will provide a 3 month warrenty. This covers any mechincal/electrical problems such as engine not starting, power winder doesn't work.

BUT it doesn't cover consumable parts such as car breaks.tyres, engine oil, etc

cool off period? i think only John Huges provid this kind of service, but only for 1 week and travel less than 500kms. you need to confirm this when you purchase.

If you know things about the car, buy it privately, if you don't know anything about a car and not willing to get a car inspection, then buy it from dealer.

You need luck to buy 2nd hand cars, sometimes you can still buy a crap car from dealer and broke down after warranty expaired.
