Chinese community rally in support of Beijing Olympics in perth
13 organizations around Perth will hold an expected thousand people peaceful demonstration in city this Saturday 26 April, from 11am to 2pm.
This street demonstration is organised in the aim of welcoming Beijing 2008 Olympics, promoting harmony and peace as well as protesting against the use of violence to disrupt Olympics and the world peace.
Chinese community around Perth would like to use this peaceful demonstration to let people in WA and beyond learn the real spirit of Olympics, which is unity, friendship, progress and harmony, rather than violence, disruption and riots. The attempts which mix the politics and Olympics thus intend to boycott are not tolerated at all.
In addition, Chinese community also tends to express their sorrow for losing of lives in Tibet and anger against the violence stirred up by some Tibetan separatist groups.

Route: Meeting point is at Forrest Place which near Myer.

Detailed Arrangement:
Organizers arrive before 9am to do the preparation
Start playing patriotic songs from 10.30am, attendants continuing arriving
People who have ordered the T-shirts must be on the spot before 10.45am
Start to sign off on the flag of Olympics
MC starts to host at 11.15am
Play Australian National Anthem and the anthem of People’s Republic of China
Speech from Chinese organizations and representatives (proximately about half an hour)
Speech from the student representative (about 10 -15 mins)
Play the Chinese patriotic songs and Olympic Songs, start to assemble the procession
Rally officially starts at 11.45am, walking across two rounds from Murray Street, Hay Street, William Street and Barrack Street
Rally lasts for one hour. At about 12.45 the procession goes back to the starting point, Forrest Place
Starting organized individual speeches
Play videos and DVDs which referred to the truth of Tibet and China
Sing the Patriotic Songs all together
Rally ends at 1.30pm
Clean up the spot from 1.30pm to 2.00pm, all the people leave in order

Safety Regulations of Rally on April 26th, 2008
1. Please obey the order of organizers. Please parade in the peaceful and safe way with the uniform slogans. Anything of burning, abuse and violence, which breaks the peaceful rules, will be forbidden. Anyone who breaks the regulations will pay the fiddler and penalty by the local police.
2. Please take care of and bring back your own materials of any flags, banners of fliers. Don’t leave them or throw them on the streets or congregation square. Anyone who finds the materials left should take them away immediately.
3. Please strictly parade following the ordered route. Young men should walk around the elders, children and women when marching forwards. Strictly obey the orders on parading in order to preventing any crowded and hurt accidents.
4. Please calm down when meeting any defiance from the illegal people. And report to the organizers at the first time. Any personal treatment or violence is forbidden except for the legal and necessary defense. When facing to the security risk on weapons, anyone should give a wide berth and remind others to pay more attention. The organizers should immediately ask the policeman to stop the riots and maintain the orderliness.
5. Any weapons and flammable or explosive materials are forbidden to bring. Any eggs, stones or other things for casting are forbidden to bring. Anyone who find someone bring them should report to the organizers ASAP. Any hard drinks are also forbidden. Anyone who is drunk and has drunk much is forbidden to take part in the parade.
6. There are the official speakers during the whole parade and congregation to answer the questions from any media. Anyone should not express and say her or his own opinions to the media on behalf of all participates.
7. Please keep the regulation and do cooperation when the official speakers are speaking. Any sturting or interruption is forbidden. If taken place, please report to the organizers.
8. When the parade is finished, don’t break up at once. Please follow the directions of organizers to leave the congregation square in an order way.
