About the Role
The Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for administering and delivering effective and compliant government procurement practices in the area of capital items and works whilst driving the efficient use of the capital works budget for VenuesWest. The role is also responsible for the implementation of policy, standards and operating procedures to oversee and deliver procurement and contract management for the Capital Works branch.
This is a full time, fixed term role to 30 June 2020 with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. While the position will be based at HBF Stadium in Mt Claremont, the nature of this position is that it requires mobility directly to and between the VenuesWest portfolio of facilities when required.

About the Person
VenuesWest is seeking an individual who is experienced in the management and delivery of compliant government procurement processes. Stakeholder engagement and excellent research and communication skills are essential this role to liaise and negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders.

Permanent Appointment
be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status

Fixed Term Employment
documentary evidence (i.e. working visa) of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the duration of the fixed term appointment
Future Appointments
VenuesWest will utilise this recruitment process to place suitable applicants in a pool for a six month period from which fixed-term and permanent appointments may be made.
