注意：报名不等于肯定要去，毕竟还有1个多月，但是活动很火爆，到时候再报名，肯定是没有位置的，所以50%以上几率可以去的就先报名，1月初交钱的时候，如果去不了可以取消，如果90%几率可以去的，再交钱就ok了

第17届 LAN PARTY 就要在1月20，21号两天举行了。从周六早上10点到周日晚上4点，不间断。

我和4个同学参加了第16届，在今年7月份的时候，参加了cs 1.6的比赛，得了第四名。

现在翘首企盼的17届就要在1月份举行了，现在已经开始报名，1月1日开始预付费，只有250个名额，大家一定要提前网上注册，然后prepaid，不然到时候当天交钱肯定是要没有座位。门票是25元，如果当天交要30。地点就在carousel shopping centre旁边了，CURTIN的学生最近了~~~

我希望大家愿意去的，给我发论坛短消息，告诉我注册名和email，我先帮你注册占位置，然后截止到1月初，确定去的，我统一汇钱过去，这样大家就可以作为一个战队参加这个lanparty，然后就可以坐在一起了。一大排很壮观啊。

到时候会举行各种比赛，cs1.6，cs source，魔兽，quake，虚幻，战地等等，多数需要组队参加，基本上比赛的报名费是1个人5块钱，赢得队伍就把钱拿走了。。。

当然也可以不玩官方比赛，也有人开公共服务器，随便打着玩。除了玩游戏，这个layparty就适合下载狂了。虽然当天没有互联网下载，但是下载确比互联网远远爽的多。到时候大家都会装一个共享软件，把自己的硬盘共享，联入专用服务器之后，就可以像google一样搜索你要的东西。服务器会帮你找到别人机器里面的东西，就可以下载了。注意，当天可是1G的局域网，下载一部700M divx的电影，也只需要1.2分钟。资源大家完全不用担心，从电视剧到电影到A片。。应有尽有。我只能说很多人都是疯子，硬盘共享超过1TB（1000 GB）的人就有20个左右，几百G的都是小儿科，所以基本上你能想的到的东西那里都有了，整套的电视剧和电影，MP3，游戏随便下载。当然了，下载的东西都是英文的，下回来自己再配上字幕就可以看了。不怕下，就怕你硬盘不够大。

需要注意的几点：
第一，这个lanparty是个自己带电脑的活动，笔记本，台式机都无所谓，需要自己带一条10米的网线（连路由器用）。注意，新的台式机都配有千兆网卡，笔记本就比较少了，所以到时候只能以百兆速度接入了。

第二，当天只是250人的局域网，带宽1000M（注意，是1G的网络，不是百兆的），没有互联网（internet）。因为这个场地是租的，所以没有互联网，而且，澳洲的互联网的不发达状况，大家也可以理解，所以也不要与欧美的lanparty对比了，至少澳洲，这个是第一大的组织。

第三，周围挨着carousel shopping centre，还有HJ，PIZZA等等，吃就不用担心了，活动时候也会3个小时一次pizza run，可以定pizza，懒人就不用自己出去吃了。CURTIN的学生那里应该比较熟悉了~~我就不介绍了。

第四，活动是连续不断的，夜里有不少人都自己带睡袋躺在地上睡，也可以趴在桌子上睡，家近的愿意的话就回家睡了。。。我上次是没睡就玩到天亮了，这次准备带睡袋。

重点是，大家决定去的马上给我发短消息报名（你的注册名（英文）还有email地址）！！时间紧迫！！可以先报上名，如果到了12月底，决定去不了了，可以再取消，因为都不用交钱。1月初我到时候会再通知大家交钱的事情，如果交了钱，最终还是不能去的，我会尽量帮大家退钱，但是不能100% guarantee。

RFLAN 17 (nicknamed 'RFJan' by one of our imaginative admins) will run
from 10:00am Saturday January 20th to 4:00pm Sunday January 21st 2007.
Cannington Agricultural Halls will again be the venue, with its hot and
cold showers and icy cold aircon. Our Cannington venue is located next
door to the Cannington greyhounds and Westfield Carousel and located
close to a great range of food outlets.

The cost of entry to the event will be $25 prepaid, or $30 at the door.

featuring our gigabit network infrastructure and friendly admins.
