ingredients:
90g butter, melted
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup plain flour
1/2 cup packaged ground almonds
topping:
125g butter, chopped
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cups slivered almonds
method
1. combine all ingredients in small bowl, mix well
2. press mixture into 20 cm × 30 cm greased lamington pan
3. bake in moderate oven about 12 mins or until browned . cool
4. spread with hot topping, bake in moderate oven about 15 mins or until browned, cool in pan
topping
1. combine butter and honey in small heavy-based pan, stir over
2. heat until butter is melted
3. simmer, uncovered, about 3 mins or until mixture is a light caramel colour, stir in nuts. |
