POLICE are investigating two robberies in 20 minutes near Curtin University yesterday morning when two students were threatened by a knifeman.
In the first incident at about 9.50am, a 26-year-old male victim was grabbed around the neck and threatened, before the offender made off with the victim’s wallet.
In the second incident, a 22-year-old male victim saw the armed offender with a red handkerchief covering his face and tried to run away, but slipped on a wet path.
The offender then demanded cash and property.
Police were unable to locate the offender and have conducted an operation in the area recently.
The offender is described as a dark-skinned male aged between 22 and 24, 185cm tall, of a slim build, with short black curly hair.
He was wearing a long-sleeved dark coloured shirt, a dark coloured full-brim floppy hat and was wearing a red handkerchief over his face.
Curtin University has assisted police by calling for students who might have witnessed the incidents.
