Assistant Accountant
THE COMPANY:

Our client is a leading ASX listed Mining company and due to growth and expansion, they are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their Perth based team.

THE ROLE: SCHOOL HOURS

Month End
Preparation of journals to the Company’s general ledger using general ledger reconciliations.
Calculation of monthly accruals and provisions.
Assist with the preparation of weekly & monthly financial reporting requirements of the business.
Preparation & management of Fixed Assets and Inventory registers.
Business Reporting
Assist the Financial Accountant with the preparation of various business reports incl. Metrics reporting.
General
Assisting the Financial Accountant in preparation of year-end reporting requirements and audit related requests.
Assistance with regulatory reporting incl. ATO, Payroll Tax & Superannuation.
THE CANDIDATE:
Will be degree qualified or working towards a professional accounting qualification.
Has 3-5 years of relevant work experience, ideally within a corporate head office finance function.
Has a demonstrated knowledge of accounting standards and core accounting principles.
Is technically sound with MS Excel.
Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
