Emergency Services Officer | 7:7 Days/Nights | Permanent | Boddington

Our mining operation provides you with the opportunity to live locally and go home every day or stay in our Village for your roster. We are only 130kms from the Perth CBD and approximately 100kms from the coast. You will work a 7:7 roster (7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off) – a great work/life balance.
What you will be doing
As the Emergency Services Officer you will play a key role in the emergency preparedness of Newmont Boddington Gold Operations by assisting the Supervisor Emergency Services with the day to day operational functionality of the Emergency Response Group. You will be accountable for assisting with the maintenance of facilities and equipment as well as leading and supporting the skill development of Emergency Response Team members to enable them to make decisions that will protect life, property and the environment.
Who you are
With a minimum of five years’ experience in an Emergency Response function, preferably within the mining industry, it is essential that you have the following:-
Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response or Fire Fighting Operations, including current Fire Fighting, Breathing Apparatus, Hazmat, Road Accident Rescue, Vertical Rescue and Confined Space Rescue qualifications.
Certificate IV in Healthcare – Ambulance.
Cert IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
Heavy Rigid Driver’s License.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Ideally you will also have:-
AIIMS Level 1 and Team Leader qualifications.
Demonstrated experience in the delivery of Emergency Response Training.
High level of computer literacy and demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Programs.
Extensive knowledge of DFES operations including Bush Fire Fighting experience.
