标题: Lesmurdie Falls [打印本页] 作者: lolly52 时间: 2008-10-25 12:05 标题: Lesmurdie Falls Lesmurdie Falls is an attractive waterfall situated in the suburbs of Perth in the Lesmurdie Falls National Park. You can experience the falls in a variety of ways. For instance, you can walk to the base of the waterfall for satisfying frontal views or you can walk to the top of the waterfall to get a true sense of its height as well as a bonus panorama looking towards Perth City.
To access the base of the falls, you'll need to take Welshpool Rd (Road 35) east to Lewis Road. Then take Lewis Rd north towards Palm Tce. There is a car park and picnic area at the end of Palm Tce. There is also a short trail that follows Lesmurdie Brook to the base of the falls.
To access the top of the falls, take Welshpool Rd (Road 35) east to Lesmurdie Rd. Then follow Lesmurdie Rd north to Falls Rd. Take Falls Rd until you see a large car park area. From there, you take a short downhill walk towards the top of the falls.
The trail actually connects with the trail at the base if you're interested in extending your stay and minimizing the amount of driving.
The falls was not flowing very well when I was there in June 2006. I reckon you'll want to be here deeper in the winter time when the water table has had enough of a chance to accumulate rainwater from the winter and spring rains.
