Speed camera locations to 24 September 2006
Last year 180 people died on WA roads. From 1990 to 1999 excessive speed contributed to about a third of fatal crashes and about 21 per cent of serious injury crashes. These are not just statistics, but real people whose deaths and serious injuries will have a severe and irreversible impact on their families and friends.
From 1994 to 2001 there was a 70 per cent reduction of drivers travelling above the speed limit. Speed cameras do help to reduce speed!
