About the Role
WorkPac are seeking an experienced Steep Terrain Operator to work for one of the worlds leading mining companies. There is currently 2/1 and 8/6 rosters working 12 hour days with meals and accommodation paid for on site.
Required experience;
Highly competent in the use of mobile plant equipment (Dozer D7 – D8 D9, Excavator 30 ton and Grader 140 H & M Series).
Good understanding of the mechanical workings of the equipment.
Very good knowledge of earthmoving techniques employed in the preparation and rehabilitation of the drill pads.
Experience in steep terrain developing pads and tracks for exploration is essential.
Good computer skills for accessing permits and information relating to the job including machine guidance.
Minimum 4-5 years earthmoving experience in a similar role is essential, and a strong knowledge of earthworks practices in steep terrain
Previous experience working within the mining industry, ideally also in an earthworks role within the mining industry
Essential:
Valid Drivers Licence
WA Residency
Ability to work remote
